In 1996 Beryl (Bunni) Zimberoff, then 55, rode the Southern
Cross from San Diego, California to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This 3000 mile
adventure is cronicled on Armchair World as Ocean to Ocean
on Two Wheels. In 1997 she planned a shorter 1000 mile trip over the Blue
Ridge Parkway, a crossing of Tennessee to Nashville, a transit of the Natchez
Trace Parkway to Nanchez and then to New Orleans. The trip went anything but
smoothly. The Clint Eastwoodism about limitations comes to mind. Also, learning
experiences can sometimes be learning experiences.

The Blue Ridge Parkway from the south..
The art of getting to Nashville
The adventure concludes. In the end 1134 miles were ridden and lessons were learned.
