This great clay bread pan is handmade by Margi Beyers who has been making clay baking pans for over 20 years. This 8" x 4" x 3" unglazed bread pan will give your breads a wonderful crust and artisan look. The bread pan is made of a special stoneware clay that allows the pan to be used in a hot oven or microwave. Because the clay is porous the resulting crust is golden both top and bottom. The even heat distribution is similar to baking in a brick oven. The bread pan is easy to season and clean. Note that the oxide "swirl" is a distinctive decorative feature of Margi Beyer's bakeware and slight differences in appearance and texture are to be expected since these pans are handmade. The pan makes a 1 lb. to 1-1/2 lb loaf. You'll love baking in it!
