If you are serious about wine, then you realize the importance of serving wine at the proper temperature. This ingenious device not only gives instant temperature readings on any wine, but indicates the optimal serving temperature for 19 types of wine. It also alerts you when your wine is ready to serve with an on screen display and alarm sound. And, the LCD display is backlit to make reading a snap. Basic Operation it as follows: To measure the temperature of the wine, press the SELECT button (shows a wine bottle) until the wine name appears on the display. After you have selected the wine type, simply insert the tip of the stainless-steel probe into the wine. Wait 6-10 seconds to get an accurate temperature measurement. When the current temperature (CURRENT TEMP) of the wine reaches its optimal temperature (OPTIMAL TEMP), the unit beeps to indicate that the wine is ready to serve. If it is too cold, you can let the wine stand at room temperature; if too warm chill in an ice bucket or in the refrigerator.
You can choose between Centigrade and Fahrenheit by pressing the C/F switch located behind the battery door. Conveniently, the unit is powered by 2 AAA batteries (included). To activate the backlight, press the LIGHT button (shows a light bulb) on the front of the unit. The backlight is also activated by pressing the SELECT button
