Flying Wheels has specialized in disabled travel since 1970. Escorted tours are offered to international destinations, along with customized individual travel arrangements if desired. Trips include a 16 day touring excursion to Australia offered for early 1996 and a 12 day tour of Israel in late April, 1996.

Since 1978 Wilderness Inquiry has served over 25,000 people of all abilities on trips throughout North America, Europe, and Australia. Non-profit WI provides outdoor experiences that combine people with and without disabilities from diverse backgrounds. Owing to the nature of the trips, manual wheelchairs usually work best. With regard to the hearing-impaired, WI makes every effort to provide sign language interpreters on trips where needed. Other disabilities are accommodated if possible. Trips include a canoe trip on Maine's Moose River, Grand Canyon rafting adventure, and Queen Charlotte Islands Kayak.
