Flying Wheels has specialized in disabled travel since 1970. Escorted tours are offered to international destinations, along with customized individual travel arrangements if desired. Trips include a 16 day touring excursion to Australia offered for early 1996 and a 12 day tour of Israel in late April, 1996.
Australian touring adventures for the disabled. RN's, EN's and AIN's are supplied; most drivers are ex-ambulance drivers. Jim's also accommodates travelers who want to devise their own itinerary and will attempt to put it on their schedule.
Kenai King Drifters is an Alaskan drift boat guide service. Enjoy great fishing and drift boat sightseeing trips on the Kasilov River and Kenai River; enjoy a stay at KKD's rustic lakeside camp. Adaptive fishing equipment is supplied for disabled fishermen.
Since 1978 Wilderness Inquiry has served over 25,000 people of all abilities on trips throughout North America, Europe, and Australia. Non-profit WI provides outdoor experiences that combine people with and without disabilities from diverse backgrounds. Owing to the nature of the trips, manual wheelchairs usually work best. With regard to the hearing-impaired, WI makes every effort to provide sign language interpreters on trips where needed. Other disabilities are accommodated if possible. Trips include a canoe trip on Maine's Moose River, Grand Canyon rafting adventure, and Queen Charlotte Islands Kayak.
